Project Scope

Leading property developing firm, Precinct Properties (PP), with support from Beca Project Management, engage Kaizon Engineering to perform PS4-Construction Review and full-time Warranty Inspection services for the basement tanking system installed at 10 Madden St; a new seven-storey commercial office building in the Wynyard Quarter precinct of Central Auckland.

The new structure contains a one-level subterranean basement car park located under the building footprint, which is directly connected to the adjacent building’s car park. Due to the project location, the sub-grade basement space is almost entirely within the groundwater table. Precinct Properties aim to create world-class real estate and as long-term asset owners their building needs to be designed and built to a high-level. This extends to all areas of a building including the basement, Precinct Properties had also previously worked with key personnel at Kaizon, and as such PP invested in one of the best basement tanking systems and construction monitoring services available in New Zealand.
